The attached photo has my father (kneeling and far right, without a uniform) Robert (Bob) E. Clemans. As a Marine he served in the 2nd Div., 3rd Bat, 10th Marines. He passed away a couple years back and never revealed much information about his action as a Marine. He did see action in Tarawa, Tinian, Saipan, and helped in the occupation of Japan. I don't know who the other Marines are or where the picture was taken. Perhaps someone out there will recognize something from the photo and help fill in the gaps.
