Cpl. Claire Eulin Goldtrap, A Co. 2nd Amtrac Batt.

'Goldy' was killed on Red Beach One on 20 November 1943 at 'The Bird's Beak' when his LVT-1 Amtrac #13-1/2 stalled at the log seawall. He was the driver and killed when a Japanese 75mm shell exploded inside the cabin. One of his ribs seriously wounded the Amtrac Sgt. He was from Hobart. OK. Goldtrap was accounted for 1 June 2018 according to the DPAA.
