| Mark W. Gaunt, 87, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2011. |
| Born in Fort Wayne, he attended North Side High School. He was a member of American Legion Post 82, and was a past member of the Fort Wayne Umpires Association. |
| He was a World War II Marine veteran having fought at Tarawa, Saipan, Okinawa and Ryukyu Islands. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star and Purple Heart medals. |
| He worked for 30 years at a large manufacturer in Fort Wayne and retired in 1976. He was an avid sports fan and avid Cubs and Yankees fan. He enjoyed playing cards, gardening, fishing and pinochle. He loved his family and cherished his grandchildren. He is survived by a large and loving family. |
