Teusday, 23 November, 1943. "Burned up LVT found adrift containing two burned bodies. Sent to beach upon orders of Marine shore party. It sunk on the way in. Two dog tags found in LVT adjacent to the bodies gave the following names: Green, M. and Mayer, Milton."
