Serial # 289880
Sgt. Hoffmann was with the Special Weapons Group, 2nd Defense Battalion. He was with the MG group, 2nd Def. Bn. Reinforced from 16 May 1943 to 31 December 1943. He was part of the wire section with a MOS of 641. As a telephone linemen his responsibilites were taking care of installating switchboards, laying field lines, and in general providing and maintaining this service for the unit.
