August "Gus" Just and "Scot" Kinsman.
"This is August Just and I at Jacques tank farm. This is when I ran into a single strand of barb wire and I was blind for 3 days. Gus was not able to see his new born son while he was in the brig. We shipped out, without him ever seeing his boy. On Saipan the tank commander was killed in the tank he was in, so Gus took over as commander. They were in a cain field and he had his head out of the turret giving the command to fire the cannon at some japs. The shell exploded as it hit the cain, throwing a fragment back that killed Gus."
