blast a Japanese machinegun postion on top of the bunker.
This shot shows at least 21 Marines involved in the assault.

Both pictures show the fight for the crest of the hill. Bonnyman led this attack to the top of the hill but was killed as he attempted to repel a Japanese counter-attack. One question is which picture is first in the sequence of action? The second question is exactly where is Bonnyman and who else is in the picture?
